During Inca times, San Blas was a settlement for “Mitimaes” (ancient craftsman of the Inca period) with a special command: yachay, Quechua for “teach and learn”. Master craftsmen from all around the Inca Empire shared their knowledge. The workshops of the main artisans will be privately visited, and they will explain in detail how their artwork is done. The group will also visit the San Blas church and its world famous Baroque-style pulpit, carved by the best wood sculptors of the region. Its balcony is spherical and it leans against a bronze structure that contains eight human busts that represent the Catholicism heretics:
•Martin Luther, the German religious reformer.
•John Calvin, founder of the Calvinism in France and Switzerland.
•Ulrich Zwingli, friend and follower of Calvin.
•Henry VII, king of England that denied the Pope's authority and the created Anglicanism.
•Elizabeth of England, daughter and follower of Henry VIII.
•Arius, native from Alexandria and founder of the Aryanism.
•Phocion, who together with Arius founded the Greek Orthodox Church.
•Catalina de Bora, Martin Luther’s wife
